Riflessioni serali / Evening thoughts

Ciao,

Come "promesso," dopo la serata  al Q21 mi sono ritirata un po' .
Non ho fatto proprio niente niente, ho finito il mio ritratto di David Bowie, iniziato mesi fa e lasciato da parte per lavorare un po' di più sulle creazioni. Volete vederlo? Non vi aspettate un Picasso eh, sono ancora molto grezza!

Migliorerò... almeno l'intenzione é quella!

Qualche giorno fa una cara amica mi ha chiesto: "Ma tu hai ancora voglia di creare?". Si, ho ancora voglia di creare e, se mi stai leggendo, dovresti continuare a farlo anche tu, perché sei bravissima!!! (finito l'angolo dei messaggi personali ;)  ). Non é tanto per l'apprezzamento generale che si riceve (a volte quasi nullo) e neppure per il singolo pezzo che si vende ogni tanto (oh per carità!),é per quella sensazione che si prova nel momento creativo: forte e un po' difficile da spiegare, ci si estrania per un attimo, nel senso più positivo del termine.

E quindi andiamo avanti e vediamo che succede! :)

Ancora una volta vorrei dire grazie a chi mi da supporto e ispirazione: vi voglio bene!!!

Hi there!

As I promised, I've disappeared for a while after the event in Milan.

Well, I haven't been totally inactive. I have completed my David Bowie's portrait, I had begun it months ago, but then I let it aside in order to work harder on the other creations. So, here it is! (right above). It's not exactly a Picasso painting, it's still pretty raw, but I have all intentions to improve!

Some days ago a dear friend of mine asked me: "Are you still willing to create?". Yes, I do, and if you are reading this right now, I just would like you to know that you should go on too, you're so good!!! (ok, end of my private messages ;)   ).

It's not worth because of general appreciation (sometimes almost near zero) nor for the single piece that you happen to sell from time to time, it's because of that special feeling that you experience in the creative moment: strong and not so easy to explain, you are out of the world for a while, in the most positive sense of the sentence.

And so I go on on my way and let's see what happens next! :)

Once more I would like to thank those people who support and inspire me: I love you, you know!!!

Il 26  ottobre ho avuto il piacere di partecipare alla serata Ex Voto a Milano: tanta bella musica e tanta bella gente!
Vorrei ringraziare ancora tutti per la calorosa accoglienza e per il supporto nell'allestimento: prima fra tutti Viola, che è un'ottima organizzatrice, Giulia, che si é subito ricordata della sua amica torinese, e ovviamente lo staff del Q21!
E grazie a Manaka Creazioni, compagna di tante avventure :-)

Hello!

Vi libero dalla nostalgia per i miei post :-P

Partiamo da un aggiornamento: ho chiuso il mio webshop su Blomming.
Nulla contro Blomming, sia chiaro,  però sono in fase di transizione e le transizioni prevedono cambiamenti. Non penso che ne sentirete la mancanza, in ogni caso (e se la sentite, vuol dire che  mi mentite!!!).

Al momento non sto creando nulla esplicitamente per il "pubblico", sto facendo più un lavoro di ricerca e di sperimentazione personale. Sto colmando alcune lacune e sto cercando qualcosa di nuovo. Ne approfitto per ringraziare tutte quelle persone che condividono i propri tutorials on line, c'é sempre da imparare e lungi da me il nasconderlo!

Che avessi ripreso a disegnare, forse lo avevo già accennato, ma ora sto cercando di abbandonare l' "empirismo". Ne saprete di più, più avanti (forse, perché questo tema lo sento un po' più personale).


Vi faccio vedere alcune delle cose che ho fatto ultimamente. Ripeto: sono solo esperimenti, quindi ancora un po' grezzi. Se qualcosa vi é familiare, non urlate al plagio, ve l'ho detto che sto guardando anche dei tutorials.

Come state? Io influenzata, altro che primavera!

Ho qualche novità da raccontarvi...

Sabato prossimo, 30 marzo, parteciperò con il mio stand all'evento Gothic Room Europa, alla serata di Torino. E' il secondo anno che ho il piacere di partecipare a questa manifestazione e penso sia un'ottima occasione non solo per i musicisti in concorso (mi raccomando, sosteniamo l'underground!!!), ma anche per chi, come me,  ha la possibilità di esporre le proprie creazioni in un ambito assolutamente a tema.

La seconda news é che sto lavorando su qualcosa di inedito per me: accessori creati con materiale reciclato. Sarà una parte della mia produzione, non tutto, ma mai dire mai!
Sto facendo degli esperimenti e devo dire che sono abbastanza soddisfatta, l'idea é quella di mantenere lo stesso stile, ma con un'occhio di riguardo all'ambiente, si potrebbe riassumere con Goth_TO goes green... in black! :D
Spero di riuscire a presentare qualcosina già all'evento di sabato 30 marzo, per ora non rivelerò altro: chi verrà, vedrà!

How are you doing? I've got flu, spring seems still so far away from me!

I've got some news for you...

Next Saturday (March, 30th) I will take part with my stand to Gothic Room Europa (Turin date). I'm glad to attend to this event for the second year in a row. I think it's a very good chance not only for the bands who are going to perform for the contest (always support underground!!!), but also for those people, like me, who have the possibility to expose their own creations in such a goth focussed party.

Last, but not the least, I won't be alone: I'll share the stand with my dearest friend Manaka Creazioni



The second part of this post concerns directly my production: I'm starting creating accessories made with recycled material. It's something totally new for me, I'm making some experiments and I'm pretty satisfied until now. The idea is that of keeping the same style, but being more attentive to enviromental issues, as I like to summarize it: Goth_TO goes green... in black!
This new orientation is not going to be applied to all my creations at the moment, but then... who knows? ;)

I'll let you know more as soon as first pieces are fully ready, hopefully I'll bring already some items at Gothic Room.

Have you seen my beautiful orchids here above??? It seems like they are the only flower plants which did not commit suicide in my house (I know... it's my fault... I forget watering!!!).

Come state? Sopravvivete alla caldazza? Io sto patendo questa temperatura, speriamo che tornino presto l'inverno e la neve....

How are you? Are you surviving this terribly hot weather? I'm really suffering these high temperatures, I hope that winter and snow will be back soon... :)

As I anticipated, in the last few days I've been working on a little new project: I've opened my web shop in Blomming! I still haven't uploaded all my creations, because the procedure takes time, but I'll post the link as soon as it's complete.

Ciao a tutti!

Arriva l'estate e io ho qualche nuovo progetto!
Domenica scorsa ho fatto la prima esposizione presso il circolo Bianconiglio di Torino, non ero da sola, ma con Manaka Creazioni, compagna di tante avventure ^^
Il tempo é letteralmente volato, nonostante una parentesi di pioggia. La serata era a tema Rock & Roll: corso di ballo e poi serata danzante con dj e apericena :)
Non é il mio solito genere, ma é stato molto coinvolgente, gli organizzatori hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro, non sembrava neanche di essere a Torino!
Io e Manaka avevamo i nostri rispettivi stands e devo dire che ci sono stati forniti tutti i mezzi per poter piazzare il nostro materiale al meglio. Quale sarà l'ulteriore buona notizia? Che non é stata una serata isolata! Nelle prossime settimane torneremo alle serate del Bianconiglio, non abbiamo ancora fissato delle date precise, ma vi terrò informati.

E' tutto per stasera, vi lascio la buonanotte e una foto del mio ultimo collarino.

Hi everybody!

Summer is here and I have some new projects!
Last Sunday I had my first exposition @ Bianconiglio club, in Torino. I wasn't alone, Manaka Creazioni, a dear friend and "colleague", had her stand there too.
Time passed very quickly, although it also rained. The party theme was Rock & Roll: dance class at first then dancing night with dj and buffet dinner :)
It's not my usual style or kind of music, but I found all really catching. Event organisers did a very good job, for a moment I forgot being in Torino!
Manaka and I had our respective stands and I have to say that we were given all necessary means and support to expose our creations in the best possible way.
Do you want to know further good news? It was not an only event! In the next weeks we will be at Bianconiglio again, we still haven't set the exact dates, but I'll keep you informed.

Dopo l'ultima esposizione all'Audiodrome mi sono presa una settimana di pausa, non ho più toccato perline, stoffe, fimo, catenelle, ago, filo & company.
Però (oltre ad essere andata a lavoro...) non sono stata "ferma", sono andata a concerti, mostre, ho visto amici (soprattutto!) e siamo stati fuori Torino. Tutto questo mi ha mi fatto venire in mente qualche ispirazione. Sperimenterò qualcosa per me, se il risultato sarà soddisfacente, vi renderò partcipi ^^
In questa settimana ho anche aggiornato un po' le foto delle magliette/top che ho fatto, ve lo mostro qui in basso. Sono disastrosa a fare le foto, quindi vi prego di non soffermarvi troppo sulla qualità delle immagini, ma più su quella dei soggetti :-P

Hi there!

After my last exposition at Audiodrome (it's a club in Torino), I've taken a week break: no new creations for the last 7 days!
However, I haven't been completely "still" (besides going to work...), I attended concerts, art exhibitions, I met friends (expecially!) and we were together out of Torino. All this brought some inspiration to my mind.
I'm going to make some experiments for myself, if the result is satisfying, I'll show you something and I'll create also for you out there ^^.
During the last week I've also taken new pics of the T-shirts/tops I've made, you'll see them here below.
I'm a terrible photographer, so please don't mind photos' quality, better to concentrate on the subjects :-P
